Principal’s Message

Welcome to Stockdale Road Primary School.

Stockdale Road has a strong focus on learning, particularly in the area of literacy and numeracy.  As a parent you can expect to see:

• Spacious well equipped classrooms that focus on individualised learning
• Extra support and assistance for your child from Reading Recovery, Language Support Groups and extension activities where required
• Leadership activities, with a focus on personal relationships
• A range of specialists – Library/ICT, Physical Education, Music,  Drama, Art, Instrumental Music and Band
• An agreed Uniform Policy
• Swimming Programs

A structured transition program for preps starting with one afternoon per week in term four, and much more

We value parent involvement in our school and we acknowledge that you are the one who knows your child best.  To enable us to work with you we offer:

• One on one Parent/Teacher interviews, early in term one and June, by request in December

An open door policy where by parents can assist in classrooms, interact with other parents on fundraising activities or just interact with the dedicated teaching staff.

We communicate weekly through a newsletter but class teachers also send out class newsletters and other communiqués.  

Stockdale Road also has a strong focus on Welfare and conducts many proactive activities during lunch time such as The Friendship Place, Bluearth Program and Boys and Girls Welfare Groups
